After what feels like a lifetime, I have finally decided to make a blog. I have always wanted a blog because I love the idea of having a space that is solely dedicated to your passions. For me it was a no brainer, I love books and I love baking. So why not take the plunge?
And that is how Books and Baking was born! I have just finished my English Literature degree and I am lucky that I have studied something that I am so enthusiastic about. It is difficult to make time to read for fun when studying literature but my TBR pile was building up and I had to delve right in. I have a newfound love for YA novels after reading One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. My favourite genres have to be mysteries and thrillers and the YA novels I have been reading are often set around these ideas. I would love some recommendations for any genre, and I am open to reading new things (although horror is probably a step too far, Frankenstein is enough for me).
I am also an avid baker and I love to express my creativity through my bakes and designs. I enjoy making festive treats, biscuits, brownies and experimenting with new flavours. I also love to bake cakes and I am now the designated family cake maker so keep a look out for them as they are bound to pop up at some point!
